Those who were baffled about Bumbles/Bimbles - I have the answer!!

Absorbency on both is the same - same layers of terry. The difference is that if you check a bumble you will see it is stitched and then turned - this gives a good snug fit around the legs but the turning does add to any bulkiness of the nappy. Bimbles have the stitching on the outside so are not 'turned', therefore slightly trimmer - also they are only available as popper fastening.

i said one was trimmer than t'other, didnt i??

nobody appreciates my genius

Pixiefish · 19/08/2007 10:01

Aren't they for different stages as well. THought one size 1 and the other was size 2- or am I worng?

Tranquila · 19/08/2007 10:04

fraid so.

irrc, one is a one size B-P...
and the other is sized.

therefore a size 2 should be roughly same as the one size. only it isnt exactly the same for reasons stated below.

summink like that.

i had my ds is his size 2 bimble last night with an extra booster and a night booster and he was nice and dry this am all safe in the motherease wrap - my question is - ok the nappy was wet and the inserts one was sodden the other was 2/3 rds sodden - with wool cover will he still be dry or is a sodden nappy not workable (i am sceptical about this wool melarky). My couche cover should be here this week with stanctitator (cant spell em) wraps

nappyzone · 19/08/2007 10:08

flame also - has your prize draw finished yet? im feeling luuuuckyyyy today!

FlameBatfink · 19/08/2007 10:55

He should still be dry with a wool on The stacinator will be better for night than the couche though.

6 tickets left for the draw....

nappyzone · 19/08/2007 14:44

now are you done?

Tranquila · 19/08/2007 14:46

i would but... you and zone are the only two cloth nappy people i know

Tranquila · 19/08/2007 14:47

all this newfound cloth nappy mania makes me think about namechanging back to my original nappiesgalore (except one is now in pants and another is largely between the nappies and pants (hates pants for some reason))
