Will I ever get past weaning?

I am absolutely terrier of weaning. My baby is nearly 6 months we started a few weeks ago. I had a nasty choking experience when I was younger it took a while to get over it. I did get over it but it’s all come back when feeding DS. I literally shake when I feed him. I just can’t seem to get over this. It’s getting me down I worry all day/night about feeding him.

I have looked into first aid + CPR I understand it all but it doesn’t reassure me. I desperately need a hand hold or reassurance out her people have had this & got over it.

I have even looked into a LifeVac which I may buy to help reassure me

Thanks guys

Any advice is appreciated x

You need to get in touch with your dr to get some counselling ASAP or you’re going to end up giving your child terrible food issues. Have you had counselling before regarding this fear? Are you scared of eating?

No I am not scared of eating at all. I used to be but now I am not. No never had counselling

I would look into counselling, privately to get help as soon as possible.

Your child needs to learn to eat, and needs the extra nutrients food provides. He also should be able to learn in a calm and stress-free environment.

I will look into counselling but at the moment I am on maternity so I doubt I’ll be able to afford to go private. It’s just ruining my day’s & it’s so silly & pathetic
