Blotchy rash on face, shows up more after being out in the cold air (18 month old)

Has anybody seen this kind of rash on their little ones? It showed up for the first time yesterday after being outside for a little while and stuck around for the rest of the day but slowly faded a bit when indoors. It was visible this morning but not very prominent and after going outside this morning it is showing up quite strong again.

I will be taking her to the doctors tomorrow morning (no appointments left now) but thought I'd ask here first to see if anybody recognised it?

I'm wondering if it's slap cheek (she does have a slightly runny nose and a very mild cough)

Thanks in advance!

My children used to get this. I cleared it by putting a light layer of vaseline on the skin around their mouths every morning - it acts as a barrier to stop the cold getting at their skin. Maybe it affects around the mouth more as some young children drool a bit? In the cold weather I kept applying the vaseline every morning before we went out even when it had cleared up - to prevent it coming back. I didn’t bother with the GP as this worked for my childrenz
