Child maintenance

Hi All,

My ex partner and I have a child maintenance agreement set up with the CMS, where they take the money directly from him and send it to me.

My children and I moved to China on August as I secured a job there. I went through the appropriate channels and was given permission to remove the children from the jurisdiction of the UK by the court. Since then payments have stopped. He has said that 'I have forfeited my right to child maintenance' by moving- is this true?

I will be calling the CMS today however it has been tricky with work and the time difference. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, to my knowledge if you move outside of the Uk the cms can't?/won't enforce payments to you.
