After some tips or advice.
Struggling to settle my 8 week old little girl to sleep. I will rock, sway, walk, sing, white noise, attempt a dummy and still takes over an hour to get my little girl to sleep. I'm an literally dreading the next nap time and I reckon my little girl is too. Any advice?

I'm sorry but it's completely normal at this age. Some babies don't need settling at all...just winding and putting down after a feed. Others just do...some take way more than an hour.

My DD was the same - swaddling very tight helped here. I would feed, wind, swaddle, then dummy and white noise. Then would gently pat her chest in a heartbeat type rhythm, which worked well.

It might also be worth looking up wake times for her age - if you are putting her down too late and she is overtired, or too soon and she is undertired, that will make it more difficult for her to get to sleep.

Have you tried a sling? My DS liked to be held close and tight at that age. He slept best when we were out shopping and he was wrapped up in the sling.
