Parenting fails

Thought I'd share this to see if anyone else has any stories to make me feel better. So today my baby moaned and cried his way through a baby group. Then I got to the bank and realised I'd put him in his pushchair without strapping him in! It was only when the lovely woman serving was chatting to me I realised so had to wrestle the baby to get him strapped in which woke him up screaming. She must of thought I was a hopeless mum! Then went for lunch and realised his nappy had leaked. Took him to get changed and realised I had no spare trousers for him and I'd left the pack of wipes on the table. And to top it all off he then bumped his head on the table as I tried to wrestle his arms into his jacket.

Please share your stories of parenting fails so I don't feel like it's only me that does these silly things!

Put baby into car seat in the living room as he was asleep and I was packing up the car for a trip.
Packed car.

Loaded in the ton of baby stuff needed for a 4 day trip to grandparents.

Left for grandparents.
Got to the end of the road and had to turn round to go back for the baby 😳

Oh that sounds like a fairly normal day for me!

Worst one was when my son had a poonami, including leaking all over trousers and I had ONE WIPE!! don't know where the extra packet was but that was an unpleasant experience for us both

First time I visited my mil baby had a poonami and I had no nappies or wipes in the bag at all! Luckily she had some from her other three year old DGC !

I swear stuff just disappears from my changing bag as soon as I need it! I sat down at a baby group and we did the hello song then I could smell my baby's dirty nappy... It was a poonami all up his back and it leaked through all over my white jumper rushed him off to get cleaned up and by the time we were sorted it was the goodbye song

They are in their 20s now but when DD2 was just a few weeks old we left her in the church after attending a Christening service.
We were so used to having just the one DD we totally forgot the new one who was asleep in a basket under the pew!
