Bedtime for 10 year old??

What time does your ten year old go to bed on a school night?

8 30 -9pm

9pm

Upstairs by about 8.30
Lights out by 9.30

Hugely variable dependent on sports/activities.

On nights were just at home she can be in bed by half seven but will normally read til after 8 and be asleep by 9

Brownies doesn't finish til 7 so bed 8-8.30 ish, she starts Guides soon and will be much later

Tap doesn't finish til 7.15 so more like 8.30-8.45

Occasionally she plays sport elsewhere and doesn't get home til after 9 which means she's not settled til nearly 10 and she is generally not able to cope with that so we limit as much as possible.

She could do with more sleep and more early nights but all activities seem to expect them to be able to stay up later at this age!

This is interesting. Place marking! I've been wondering the same. My dd 10 usually goes up at 7:30-45 and then has an alarm for 6:30 and I have to literally drag her out. Then I let her stay up later last night and she woke up naturally at 6:50. We had a later start. But then I thought I wonder if she has better quality sleep going later.
She's far more palatable when she's woken up naturally 😂😂

Im baffled!
Dd can fall asleep at 11pm and wake up at 6am..On the other hand she will go to sleep at 8.30pm and wont wake up until i get her up at 8am ish

And yes, after school activities have alot to answer for

In bed chilling by 8.30 lights out between 9/9.30.

8.30 and lights out at 9. Except for Thursdays Guides is 7.15 til 9.00 so it's a late one for a school night

Our ten year old goes to bed around 9.30 however additional needs can mean this often varies if he struggles to get to sleep, no matter what time he goes to bed he's super lazy on weekday mornings and up early at weekends, typical.

My 10 year old is in bed around 8pm, lights out at 8.30, always asleep within minutes. Awake between 6.30-7am.

DD is nearly 10 and goes to bed around 9 - 9.30 activities depending. She's rarely asleep before 10 though. She sleeps like a log and can be hard to wake but is never tired once actually up.
