It is the very last item on our list to purchase and it now looks like baby will be arriving early so I would quite like to tick it off but I'm clueless as to which one to get.

It needs to be suitable from birth and it doesn't matter if its a pain to move as once its in the car its not going anywhere. Ideally I would also like it to last for several years.

Any recommendations of which one to choose and pros/cons you found from owning or using one.

Thanks in advance Grin.

I have a cybex cloud z on a z base. Which swivels and the base is also suitable for the next size carseat. It was expensive that's the only downside we've found

Another one for Cybex however I have the Sirona I size one which is also suitable from birth another car seat is the Britax romer dualfix which again is suitable from birth have two of these seats my DS has had the britax one since he was 12 months old he's now 2 and half years old and it's still a really good seat.
My DD has been using the Cybex one since she was 3 months old and it's also a really good seat they are both expensive but worth the money IMO but as they are isofix ones you can't really remove them from car with baby still in so if it's one your looking at where you can remove the car seat from an attached base then I'd recommend looking at a maxi cosi car seat and an isofix base I've used them and they were could for younger months but I decided with my second child I was going to put them in the other seat sooner than later as they were suitable from birth and take them up to four years
