safety in kitchen?

I can't fit a gate to cut off my kitchen and its a hard tiled floor. Should I be worried about my crawler falling and hitting his head, or is there no need to worry? Thanks!

wouldn't worry too much about the floor. But check your cupboards are ok for exploring

I never had a gate shutting off the kitchen, and also had tiled floors.
Yes dd hit her head a couple of times, but soon learnt not to! In fact she probably has more problems now she runs at breakneck speed (2.9 years old now!) and slips and falls.

What I mean is, dc is going to fall and hit head somewhere at some stage (and soon, probably!)

Never had much of problem when dd was crawling/learning to walk.

I have more of probelm now, dd is 3 1/2yrs, and if she has walked/run into the bottom of the stairs this week she done it a dozen times. This is not to mention the wall from the downstairs loo and kitchen.
