So I've been looking at our morning routine and everyday is a different day.

Wake up times vary and I go by the children whether DD1 (3) or DD2 (3 months) wakes up first I get up with them this could be anytime between 6.30-7.30 ish.

So what do you do then?
Be nice to hear other people's mornings the whole getting up/ready/breakfast etc as some days I feel like it takes hours!

DS2 wakes up at 5:30, so I give him a bottle and he falls back to sleep.
I go back to bed for an hour or so, usually just drifting in and out of sleep
DS1 (3 years) wakes up at around 6:30 ish, so u take him downstairs and we watch TV until the rest of the house wake up.
Baby wakes up around 7:30, get him dressed and bring him downstairs.
Once DH has gone to work (and it out the way!) We have breakfast at around 8:30 then I get DS1 dressed and myself dressed. (Have to take them both to my top floor as that's where my bedroom is!)

(Don't get a 3 story house if you have babies)Grin

I work ft, so weekdays i wake dd (18m) up at 7am, get her dressed and we leave the house at 7:15, she has breakfast at nursery.

Weekends we get up when she wakes up around 8/8:30, breakfast then get dressed, so maybe 30mins max

DS wakes around half six/ seven and we go downstairs for breakfast, then he likes to play for a bit or we have a story, he bf around 8 then has a nap sometime between half eight and half nine for an hour to ninety minutes, he's asleep now. When I'm working he bf first thing then has breakfast around 8am as I have to leave before then and DH/grandmas can't bf, so we basically just switch it, still has a nap at the same time

I have two dc: 6 and nearly 2. It's a bit easier in many ways when you 'need' to get up and go somewhere. It's harder on the days we don't. Dc1 obviously is in school all week, so we have to be out of the house for the school run, even on my 1 day a week that I'm home with the younger one.

We get up with dc2 usually 6-7am. Get him dressed and downstairs for a cup of milk and a bit of something to eat. Dc1 is usually up by around 7:30. Getting her dressed is a battle some days, but she's usually downstairs by 7:45-8. Both have breakfast (sometimes dc2 eats a full breakfast earlier, sometimes they eat together, depends on how the day is going). Pack up bags, brush hair and teeth, and we are out the door to school by 8:25. dc1 dropped off at school by 8:40 and 4 days a week dc2 goes to nursery by 8:45/8:50. We are usually at home/work by 9-9:15.

On weekends though, it can take forever as older one just drags her feet and we have less of a routine and less urgency to get anywhere by a certain time.

I have a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old.
They both tend to wake up at a similar time (6.15/6.30) dh gets up with them and lets me sleep for 30 mins extra before he needs to get ready for work.

Baby has a bottle when he wakes up.
Toddler has cereal around 7, then feed the baby breakfast around 8.

Get them both dressed, baby has a nap at 9. I have a shower and get dressed. Baby wakes up around 9.45/10 and we go out to the park or a toddler group until lunchtime. Have lunch, then both nap at 1-2.30.

Weekdays:

Dd wakes up at around 6. I get us both up & get dd breakfast whilst I drink a coffee.
6:30: I get in the shower, sometimes with dd if she needs a hair wash
6:50 out of shower, dry hair, get dd dressed, get me dressed/makeup
7:20 pack nursery bag
7:30 rush around like a mad thing finding keys, shoes, coats, bags, laptops etc etc
7:45 shout WHY am I so frigging unorganised?!!! 15 times.
8am leave house, catch bus to nursery, walk to work.

Weekends:

Try to do something fun for dd, but mostly relax and eat nice things! Mentally prepare for the week ahead.

Get up at 9.30, milk at around 10 am and then porridge and mango at 10.45. He's 21 months old. If we need to go out early. We just do it earlier. But normally we just go out after 11am

PixieDustt · 24/10/2019 23:40

DS who is 3 months gets up at about 8:30 has his bottle.
Get ready myself and usually put the door by 10-11.
If I need to go out earlier I just get him up a bit earlier though

meow1989 · 24/10/2019 23:46

Ds 16m wakes about 7.15 and sings/chats to himself in his cot. When he calls out for me (normally 7.45) I get up and get him. On a work day we do a quick breakfast, dressed, teeth and off to nursery. On a non work day I might leave him in his pjs a bit longer whilst he has a toddle and a play before dressing and teeth brushing. Then it depends ds what we gave planned!
