Terrible two’s

I have a two year old boy, who is the sweetest looking thing, totally chilled majority of the time, but when he gets upset/tired/hungry he gets so angry (blue in the face angry) help????

Hello I think I remember a stage that I called that really awkward annoying in-between stage.... My son is 22 months (basically two) and about 3 months ago he was ready to drop the second sleep in the afternoon and we were upside down for quite a few weeks.

I'm sure I went through it with my four year old too. I think it's that stage where they play more, they are awake more, they get frustrated more and they are more aware of wanting to do things more.

I know it feels unhelpful but it's kind of a case of muddling through it and dealing with things and it will pass as he gets more stamina in these things. It that makes sense. We are going through a stage wher the word no or if he can't have something he throws himself back and lifts his head up and smacks it on the floor. Then he sobs. It's pure frustration and I tend to leave him to it and only pick him up for a hug if it goes on too long. I don't want to encourage him to do it more than necessary lol. Arnt toddlers hard work lol???

Noting you can do really, I try to ignore tantrums when my 2 year old wants something, when she’s upset and kicking off I will give a cuddle and say why are you sad, are you tired etc, and if she’s risking doing something dangerous (playing on stairs, going towards plug sockets or trying to run off in a car park) I will tell her off in a stern voice
