Cow and gate colic and comfort milk

Hiya, just looking for some advice!

DS is 6 weeks old and I was told a week ago that he has colic. DH and I changed his milk to the cow and gate colic milk and he seems so much happier (and sleeps 3-4 hour stretches now which is a massive improvement on the 45 mins we had before 😂)

I've noticed however that his farts and poo absolutely stink. Has anyone else found this? I mean farts and poo never smell nice but this is something else 😂 poo is normal colour so not worried about that really and he's not uncomfortable when he poos of farts which he was before but had anyone else noticed a change in smell when changing to this milk?

My son was on this for about 2 weeks. We changed to anti reflux milk in the end- different issue. But yes his poo and farts absolutely stunk !! He is getting a bit smelly on AR milk to but not as much. But if it’s helping then I guess it’s a small price to pay !

@BellaNutella88 oh absolutely, will keep him on it just wanted to make sure it wasn't just him 🙈 hope the AR is helping your LO, horrible not being able to help them isn't it 😔 xxx

Yes it's normal, it made me want to cry every time I had to change a dirty nappy Sad but it was worth it to see how much it soothed him.

@talkmedownnow oh I know that feeling, I changed him earlier and it was everywhere, all up his back and that smell, thought I was going to be sick 🤮😂 but just so glad it's working for him and he's so much happier so that's all that matters xx

We used reflux milk and DS's nappies looked like mashed potato and smelt absolutely vile. I think it's normal for these types of milk. Mind you he's 3 now so long off the milk but still bloody stinks. And now he can talk he likes to blame me for his smelly farts - "pardon you mummy" Angry

@whydoesitalways oh I'm glad to hear it isn't just my DS! That's exactly how id describe his nappies ATM 🙈 he usually saves them for during the day when DH is at work so don't think he understood just how bad they were, well he saved DH a treat and last night he changed him and now he fully understands how bad they are 😂

Oh bless him, I hope DS grows out of smelling so bad, I feel like people are judging me because he absolutely stinks sometimes, even when he's clean he doesn't smell like it 🙈
