Allergy test

My little girl is 6 week and I'm suspecting she has a allergy or intolerance. She has her 6 week anti natal appointment on Monday and going to speak to the doctor. How do they go about doing an allergy test. Thanks x

You'd have to eliminate whatever it is from her diet and see if symptoms improve, then maybe reintroduce it and see what happens. Thats assuming her current symptoms are delayed ones like tummy ache, loose nappies, vomiting and not instant hives etc?
You can only do skin prick and blood tests if the reaction is instant, eg hives, swelling etc. If its just an intollerance that wouldnt show up on a skin prick test as its delayed. Also, these kinds of tests arent as reliable under 6 months old I think.
