My DD birthday next month and she's our first child so need ideas for what you guys did to celebrate

I made a cake (my first and last!!) And asked immediate family round for the afternoon. Timed it for post nap, we had drinks and nibbles and cake and she opened some presents. It was lovely and not too overwhelming for her.
