Dd's odd behaviour

Dd is 5 and a couple of months ago I discovered that she was peeing on her bedroom carpet, we spoke and decided to leave a potty in her room incase of emergency's. From them on I've not noticed her doing it anymore...until this morning whilst in my bedroom I saw a wet patch on my rug after inspected it it's human wee at first I though maybe the cat had done it but nope it's definitely from a human.

She's also got a couple of yellow and red cards from school this is totally not like her she's never gotten into trouble at school and has always loved it right from preschool-year 1 but in the last few weeks she's started saying she doesn't want to go. The behaviour cards was because she's scribble on some work and then the next day ripped up other work. Her dad moved out last month and although she seems to be fine with it and doesn't really ask much about him I'm starting to wonder if the sudden change has caused this sudden behaviour.
Anyone been through something like this?

A relative of mine was exactly the same as a child. Weeing on her bedroom floor, destroying her finished work and then moving on to ruin other children's work if no one intervened in time. Many, many other challenging behaviours. My relative also had lots of what I now understand to be sensory difficulties. And some quite unusual early speech problems/patterns.

In this case there were a few possible causes. Parental separation, parental mental health struggles, the possibility of asd. There were some traumatic experiences. Attention seeking - not in the negative meaning, but genuinely needing attention (one of 5 children - lots going on). There were some investigations but it wasn't followed through. Plus it was a very different time back then.

I'm not saying any of these are happening in your situation, but I wanted to comment so you know you're not alone.

My relative is now an adult and things have mostly resolved themselves. I wish that they had grown up today when we have more knowledge and strategies for helping children.

If it were my child today I would definitely have a chat with the school senco, the GP, the health visitor (if the child is under 5 - I think that's still the age they go up to). It sounds like your dc does have some anxieties or some things that they are working through. There may be some good ideas online for things to help them to manage this. Hmm many similarities here, dd is one of 5 (4th) me and her dad have recently split up (very amicable but still he lives alone) this started around the time we sat her down and told her about her dad moving out, she's been absolutely fine and hasn't shown any sign of being sad about it ( she's a mummy's girl and rarely ever asks about her father) when she first began doing it I asked her why and she said it was for attention, This hit me hard and I've turned it around so that she has an hour every evening to do something with me when her little sister has gone to bed, the weeing stopped for a few weeks but she's started doing it again, I've literally just saw a yellow stain on my new rug and yep it's stain piss I don't know what to do, I'm just lost.
