Spots on sons face overnight??

Hi, My nearly 6 yr old son woke up yesterday morning with spots on his face and no idea why. He had them no where else please help!!

Start of hand foot and mouth maybe

He had had a cold if that Is anything to do with but no there is no rashes anywhere else? 😢 x

Any more ideas really appreciated x

Yes I thought it could have been but there's nothing on his feet or hands so can't be? x
