Not sure where to post this.
Seen a few July baby threads but not much activity on them anymore.
Doesn't have to be just July babies but just wondering how you are all getting on?
Would be nice to have a thread with similar age babies to talk about their progress and just general stuff.
I don't know anyone with babies my age plus my friends are pretty much non existent now 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂

Hey @PixieDustt how are you doing? I have to admit I’ve been rubbish with keeping up with the July group on here. Did you have a boy or girl? We had a boy on the 24th he is doing well currently asleep he seems to sleep for about 3 or 4 hours now in the night before a feed which I think is good. Is this your first or do you have others? Sorry if I’ve asked before mummy brain has well and truely kicked in and I can’t remember anything ☺️

PixieDustt · 08/10/2019 22:05

Hey @Mayjane5 glad you're all doing well!
Aww congratulations!
Sometimes the threads just go a bit quiet of course because of new babies there is a lot more to concentrate on! 😂.
I had a DS on 6th July ☺️.
That's a good stretch! I'm doing well thank you.
He is my first yes. How about you?
He's such a dream I couldn't ask for a better baby! He goes from 9-7:30-8. He woke up at 5am the other day but had a feed and went back to sleep until 8 so not bad at all!

Did I read that right 9pm until 7am? That’s amazing, I’m just grateful for the 3 or 4 hours at the moment 😆 this is my second I have a 4yr old daughter. It does seem easier and not as stressful as the first I think as I’ve learnt to let the little things go and just enjoy it this time around. How are you finding it all?

Hi both,

Our July group went pretty quiet but as a first time mum it would be nice to chat!

We had our baby girl in July 29th so just over 10 weeks old now. She goes to sleep at 9pm every night and wakes at 3 for a feed and sleeps from 4-9am which we are super happy about. I was breast feeding but we were topping up with formula because she wasn't putting on enough weight and before you know it, the top ups became full bottles so now we are formula fed entirely.

We have a lovely happy smiley little girl!

I hope you are both well in yourself.

When do you usually start classes with babies? We are hoping to start baby yoga next month!

PixieDustt · 08/10/2019 22:29

@Mayjane5 yes aha 9-7. Any sleep is much appreciated though isn't it! Haha. Is your DS BF or FF?
Oh I bet you must be a pro at this now! ☺️.
I been feeling fine thank you! How about you?

@cravingmilkshake hi 👋🏼
Aww congratulations!
That's a good stretch though! My DS is FF. what ever works best for them isn't it!
Also a FTM.
I don't know when to start classes in all honesty. Baby yoga sounds fun!

@PixieDustt wow I’m so impressed
with the sleep I’m hoping we will get longer periods over the next few
Weeks as he’s feeding more, on formula using a perfect prep machine this time around so useful for those night feeds. Feeling pretty good more like myself now ☺️

Mayjane5 · 08/10/2019 22:48

@cravingmilkshake hey how are you? Your little ones feeding sounds similar to mine. I really don’t know about classes I think you can start now for the yoga/massage ones? and swimming I think?
We probably won’t get to do any classes as I’m back to work very soon just trying to make most of this time now they grow and change so
quickly

PixieDustt · 08/10/2019 23:19

@Mayjane5 thanks ☺️.
I heard the prep machines are good was going to get one myself but then didn't bother in the end!
When are due back at work?

OP posts:
cravingmilkshake · 09/10/2019 04:55

@PixieDustt yes we did the trial baby yoga and she loved it so going to do the block in November. We will also take her swimming after her 12 week Jabs?

@Mayjane5 wow, good for you for going back to work so soon! How do you feel about it?

We got the perfect prep at week 6 and it's well worth it!!!

cravingmilkshake · 09/10/2019 04:56

Also, baby slept from 8:30 until 4:50 😃 very pleased with that

PixieDustt · 09/10/2019 06:07

@cravingmilkshake that's a good sleep!
My DS is still asleep at the moment.
Oh sounds very fun!
Yeah taking DS swimming next week for the first time, eeek 🥰.
You don't even have to wait for the jabs according to the NHS I would though!
How's your DD in the bath?

Hello everyone Smile our little girl was born on 28th July. She is a beautiful smiley little thing. Sleeping has been variable, usuals pattern has been taking ages to settle in the evenings and then waking once or twice but last night she went from 8pm-5am so delighted with that! Hope it becomes a pattern! She is breastfed with one bottle of expressed milk in the evenings.

We've been doing a baby Playlab class on Mondays and baby massage on Thursdays. I have her down to start baby swimming when she is 3 months.

Anyone been on trips away yet? We're in Ireland and we're bringing her to my family in England on 22nd Oct. Bit nervous about the plane journey!

HangryCaterpillar · 09/10/2019 08:39

Hello! I had a little girl on the 14th of July, ftm and she's a pretty chilled out baby most of the time!
She's BF and we get a good chunk of sleep from 8-4 and then usually 4 till around 8 which I can't complain about, only big problem is she's a bottle refuser so I can't catch a break at the moment!

PopcornAndWine · 09/10/2019 09:42

@HangryCaterpillar did you try a few different brands? Mine wouldn't take Tommee Tippee at all but likes Philips Avent. The other thing that helped was warming the teat by pouring boiling water on just before giving it to her, made it slightly warmer and she seemed to like it better then.

HangryCaterpillar · 09/10/2019 10:06

We've tried Mam and tommee tippee's but might have to give another one a try, never heard the warming the teat trick before, will have to give it a go!

PixieDustt · 09/10/2019 18:56

@PopcornAndWine aww how lovely!
That's a good stretch too.
Baby classes sound fab, no due to go away soon but not on a plane! I'm sure your LO will be fine ☺️

@HangryCaterpillar sounds like our babies are going for good stretches!
My nephew was like that refused a dummy and bottle.
Hopefully new bottles will help you out!

Hi I had my ds on the 8th July have a dd who's 5. Second time round baby has been more chilled but we've had a bit of sibling jealousy! ds is sleeping 7pm to 1am then down again til 7am so can't complain! Starting Hartbeeps with him Friday and have started a family centre baby group. Have any babies started giggling yet? I spend all day trying to get his first laugh!

PixieDustt · 09/10/2019 23:14

Hi @shivbo2014 congratulations! Our babies are 2 days apart ☺️.
Another good stretch of sleep!
Oh bless I don't have any other children yet so not sure about the jealousy part, bless DD it must be hard being the only one then having to adjust but she'll get used to it.
There really isn't any baby groups near me suitable for my DS. Our area is rubbish!
My DS is trying to giggle he's such a smiley happy content baby you can hear him trying to laugh but it doesn't quite come out 🙈

Giraffe888 · 10/10/2019 14:56

I had a DS on 19th July. I absolutely adore him 🥰

He is BF and wakes roughly every 3 hours but it’s not necessarily for a feed, he has got colic and he wakes in the night screaming with tummy pain 😢 taking him to an osteopath tomorrow to see if that helps

PixieDustt · 11/10/2019 13:55

Hi @Giraffe888
Oh bless him, colic must be so awful. How did today go?

OP posts:
cravingmilkshake · 11/10/2019 14:19

Hi @Giraffe888,

I remember you from our July group. Have you tried baby yoga? Give it ago- really helped my little girls belly ache

PopcornAndWine · 11/10/2019 14:47

@Giraffe888 baby massage may help too - there is an anti colic routine

Giraffe888 · 11/10/2019 20:39

@PixieDustt appointment was ok. Not convinced but we shall see if there’s any difference!

@cravingmilkshake I remember you too. Hope you and baby are well? We’ve not tried baby yoga! I’ll look it up on YouTube tomorrow

@PopcornAndWine I’ve tried massage. I do a colic one off YouTube

LenaAl · 12/10/2019 09:43

Hi all
Have a lovely 12 week old boy, mostly breastfed but OH gives him a bottle of formula as a dream feed. Are any of the babies who are sleeping through breastfed? How did you do it?? I would love 6 to 8 hours!

PixieDustt · 12/10/2019 20:51

Hi @LenaAl and congratulations!
My DS is 14 weeks today ☺️.
DS is FF x
