Hi Smile

Thought id say hi. Im new here.

Currently sat in bed feeding our 5 week old baby, who has been awake since 9pm Confused

She sleeps lovely from 2pm-9pm, feeding in between but there must be Something about us coming to bed at 9pm that keeps her up for hours! Lol. Little cherub.!

One thing i have learnt from this forum is that, It gets easier Smile so in the meantime we are making the most of her newborn gorgeousness...!

Hi! I hope you manage to get some sleep soon that's painful! I'm waiting for my 4 week old to fall asleep after his feed so I can sneak him back into his crib, however we've both been asleep since 9:30 Grin

She is very unsettled in the next to me crib. Still hasnt fully gone to sleep :(

Welcome! You just need to relax and let your baby call the shots. She's only 5 weeks old! There's no such thing as a schedule at this age, you just need to go with whatever she needs. It won't last forever, I promise.

Kimberleigh · 04/10/2019 02:01

Yeah im all good - if a little sleepy. She will nod off at some point im sure. Lol

Do you have any mattress toppers on your next to me crib? My baby hated it as it's too hard but we bought a waterproof topper from mothercare and put it under the fitted sheet so its alot softer and he prefers it! I would also highly recommend the rockit which we've attached to the crib and when he doesn't seem to be settling it gently rocks the crib helping him sleep Smile

Kimberleigh · 04/10/2019 09:46

Ahhh yeah a topper would be good as the mattress is rock solid.

How does the rocker work as the crib is on legs?

It comes with a bracket so we attached it to the top of the crib and it rocks the crib similar to how you could do with your hand really but stays on for about half an hour before it times out
