My 2.5 year old is having them fitted tomorrow. What should I expect him to be like after? He's booked in for 8am. Will he likely want to sleep or day or will he be ok once it's worn off? I've never been put to sleep so o just have no idea what to expect!

Probably upset and groggy immediately after, then should calm down once it all wears off. They will keep you in for a little while after to check they are ok, so you may not get back home until late afternoon, pending where you are on the morning list.

Mine was back at nursery after a couple of days all good

Not anaesthetic related but I was a fair bit older when I had mine done and the main thing I remember was how loud everything was, like someone had turned the volume to maximum. It may be confusing or frightening for your DC.
