Dropping the bottle

Just read nhs advice about when baby turns 1, they advise they should not use a bottle with a teat from 12 months onwards. My DS is 9.5 months, has 3 bottles a day. How do i go about this, start now doing his middle bottle in a cup? He takes water well from a free flow cup. So when he turns 1, would i just give cows milk in a cup for morning and bed instead?

Give milk in a cup from 1. No need to do anything different for now.

Probably about 10/11 months we swapped out the lunch time bottle for a cup of cows milk (my kids were both really good eaters so no worries about them not getting the nutrients needed).

Then a few weeks later did the same with the morning bottle.

We kept the bedtime bottle going for a few months due to circumstances (going on holiday, illness, not a good sleeper) as it was part of the bedtime routine, but it was cows milk from around 12months.

They were both done with bottles by around 15m. My DD is nearly 2 and still has a cup of cows milk before bed as part of her routine and my DS4 occasionally has milk too

Not having to buy formula or wash bottles is amazing!
