Help my toddler love the car seat and pram

My 1.5 year old hates being in a car seat and also in the pram.

We don't drive but she does need to go in the car seat when we visit grandparents. She should also really go in the pram when we go out, but because she cries I often end up carrying her in a sling, which is slowly breaking my back I'm sure.

I've tried distracting by talking to her, giving her things to hold or play with, singing songs, and with limiting journeys to under 30 mins. But nothing seems to help! Any advice for either car seat or pram would be warmly received - thank you.

Hi just seen your post. I agree to just give buggy as only option and ride it out.
Perhaps restating she does not like, so try buggy and car seat in house and only allow TV if she sits in them, and then use tablet when out?
Or perhaps a fidget board to keep her occupied when strapped in? You can buy or make one, buttons, zips string etc to keep hands occupied and brain engaged to distract from the problem

Good luck xx

For the car just go through a couple of McDonald's drive thru. Park up afterwards for a car picnic. Works a charm 😂

That's a good idea bernadette I'll get her cardie off before putting her in the seat so she can't wriggle free.

Glad I'm not alone in having a very stubborn baby!

My little one is 10 months and he doesn't like to be strapped in his pushchair so I've taken the chest straps off and he just has the lap one on if that makes sense he loves it sitting bolt upright so he has room to move the car seat thing we got a dvd player so we play his favourite programmes loves that too 10 mins down the road his asleep but all babies are different sometimes you just have to let them scream it out if you know there tantruming and not nothing else maybe a bottle of milk to help comfort them or a comforter

Also I swapped pushchairs from a travel system the one he hated(bulky can't see much out of them) to a little stroller where he can see the world he must of got bored of seeing my face lol
