Hi, I'm just looking for a little bit of advice! My now 9 month old baby girl ( first baby) has decided she doesn't want to eat lunch or dinner anymore 😂.. more particularly finger food. She was doing really well eating veg, chicken, tuna, pasta etc.. however she has now turned to spitting everything out. I know this could just be a phase but I was wondering whether anyone could help with some suggestions of what I could do to encourage her more or different things I could try. The usual trying to eat with her, 'yum yum' encouragement just isn't doing the trick at the moment. She will still happily take her milk so I'm not concerned on that side. But any advice would be much appreciated. Xx

I personally would just give her whatever she is willing to eat and it will more than likely be a phase. My son loves avocado and scrambled eggs so if he's refusing everything else that's my go to! There is a saying that says something along the lines of food is for fun before you're 1, not sure how true it is tho.

Don't stress. She is just trying different things. Keep offering food but don't try to encourage her to eat it. Feed her at family mealtimes if you can. Give her small amounts and take it away if she's not interested. She'll get back into it again.

Most likely a phase. My 16 month old DS is sometimes fussy about eating in his high chair - so I’ll give him his lunch on the floor or the sofa, suddenly it tastes better Confused

My daughter (8 months)has now taken to smashing food in her hands, she used to be really good about just eating finger food but less and less is going in her mouth and I'm tending to spoon feed which is not what I want to do exclusively. Sorry for no advice but just wanted to let you know I'm having similar issues and hopefully it's just a phase
