Looking for experiences with SLT in toddlers. We are on the NHS waiting list but are covered with health insurance so going that route in the meantime.

Daughter speaks, just doesnt pronounce the end of her words and most people struggle to understand her. (I.e. will say bu not bus etc.) Shes very shy and unwilling as soon as she realises you're trying to get her to do something so I'm nervous about how she is going to respond to it. She goes to nursery twice a week so sessions will he at nursery and at home.

Looking to find out how similar children responded to it and how long it took to see a difference (although I know this will vary greatly between children). And for some reassurance that she's not going to go further into her shell!

Thank you

My son at 2.5 does the same with his words, I didn't see it as an issue until now?! Following this post with interest!

I'm surprised you were even accepted on to the SLT waiting list if the only issue is not finishing full words at 2.

To answer your questions it's mostly done through play.
