My little boy turned 6 months on 16th September, I started weaning at just over 5 months and he's took to it really well, now having 3 meals a day. How many oz should he be having a day?
Also what age did you move to size 3 teat and why?xx

A minimum of 20oz is recommended up to 1 year As his food increases, his milk intake should drop naturally so you just be guided by him.

My HV told me they should have between 15-21oz of milk on top of food.
Too much milk stops them eating properly, she did say as LO get closer to 12months this may fall but should try and give at least 15oz.
My DD is 8months and has about 18oz a day along with three meals and snacks.

Her baby is only 6 months old.

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/solid-foods-weaning/ this suggests 600mls up to around 10months and then around 400mls up to 1 year.
