Stopping breastfeeding

Hi,
I've been breast feeding for nearly 6 weeks however I will probably be stopping soon.
Did anyone find they gained weight when stopping breastfeeding?

At first I gained weight yes

Yes, because I carried on eating as if I was breastfeeding. Also your hormones and metabolism will be all over the place for a while. Honestly it was the least of my worries at the time.
