Chair for 8 month+

I need to get a new "vehicle" I can put 8 month DS in when I need to get some work done on my laptop (work from home) or cooking dinner.

High chair is OK but I'd prefer something near to the floor. He throws all the toys off and I just spend my time picking them up
He has a race car Walker but he moves all over the place and starts banging the cupboards.
His bumbo is very tight on his thighs now!

He loves the lion king which is brilliant when I need 20 mins to crack on but we need a new chair.

Any ideas? Does a baby bean bag exist?

Playpen? My DS started crawling at 8mo so big playpen worked so he could roam round a bit and play with toys while I did bits of housework.

Mine is 8 months and I can’t keep him contained in any chair apart from his highchair, and he doesn’t like to be in that for long. Playpen? I just make sure the room is baby proofed and let him crawl around with his toys.

He is showing zero interest in crawling! He just looks like a sad little washed up whale when I put him down. He constantly wants to stand and try and walk. I know it's so unusual but if he is watching lion king or shrek he will happily sit for 15 mins or more watching it. Maybe I'll just stick with surrounding him with toys. Not sure a play pen would fit

I got a chair to rocker so up to toddler age for this exact reason with my 7 month old. She had outgrown her original chair but this one is great. Made by bright start. I got it from argos for around £35.

My friend uses her pushchair.
