Anyone used 10.2.6 feeding schedule?

Hello, my baby is 10 weeks old on Saturday & I wanted to get him into a little routine. My MIL suggested feeding at 10, 2 and 6 continuously & eventually he would drop the 2am feed. He normally has 5oz every 3-4 hours at the moment but Ive changes to size 2 teats with bigger bottles & hoping he will take 6oz every 4 hours. Has anyone tried this with success ? TIA

We had a routine and thankfully both dc took to it, from very early on. We fed 7am then 3 hourly til 7pm. We then did 11pm, 3am, and then back to 7am.

The 11pm was usually a dreamfeed. And they dropped the 3am feed first with a move to a morning feed at about 6am for a while.

Eventually we dropped the dreamfeed too.

I did this very successfully with ebf DS1 from about 6 weeks on the advice of a very experienced paediatrician. I had massive oversupply (subsequently ebf'd twins to 6 months) and prior to the 10-2-6 schedule was feeding every whimper which resulted in round-the-clock bf and a very gassy, unhappy, bloated baby with a dozen green bubbly nappies a day. It transformed both of our lives within 24 hours. I shushed and cuddled and used a soother in between.

My baby has 7oz every 4 hours 7am, 11am, 3pm 7pm then one at 3am. He is 12 weeks and has been doing that for a few weeks. I genuinely haven't implemented any routine he just done it. I thought it was fairly common babies feeding every 4 hours? He doesn't seem to want it more often or id obviously give it as ive just fed on demand!

I bf dd on demand, but looking at this kind of wish I’d tried out a schedule with her at night. She didn’t sleep through till she was 2. It wasn’t fun!
