So DS 8 months seems to have a cold but feeling very hot....used a digital forehead thermometer and every time the reading is different. Anything from 37.1 to 38.9!!!! So I got out the digital old fashioned, stick it under your arm thermometer, and says 38.4 which would you think is most accurate?
Am I doing something wrong with this forehead one? I've read instructions, changed batteries, and I think I'm doing it right but the measurements are so different! Please help! I'm going to give the Calpol anyway, but want to know I'm getting an accurate reading so can monitor if temperature comes down.

forehead one only tells you the temp of the skin I think. on my digital underarm thermometer you have to add 0.5, but it is only a cheap one

I've just read you've used a digital one on forehead - ignore my first but I thought you mean a strip one
