Cosleeping mattress topper

Are non memory foam mattress toppers ok for cosleeping as long as they are firm? I am cosleeping with an eleven month old on a mattress on the floor and the springs are becoming increasingly uncomfortable

I wouldn't with a younger baby- the non-memory foam ones are essentially just a duvet strapped under the sheet. An 11 month old should be fine though assuming they're fairly mobile.
