Power Weeing

DS2 is almost 2 and a half. He has his nappy off a lot at home and has recently sarted using the potty for wees. He can go hours without a wee so obviously has good bladder control.

However, I have not bit the bullet with potty training 'proper' yet due to not having several consecutive days at home all day.

But once he has got a nappy on when we go out or he goes to bed, he is able to hold it in for ages then 'power wees' and floods the nappy and it leaks.

Any tips?
Or do I just try potty training proper.....

if you are out, take him to a toilet to see if he'll use it? Or get one of those fold down potties maybe?

And a big final wee in the potty before bed.

sounds like it's time to be nappy-less now (at home at least), and that is all part and parcel of potty training.

Just to add - I did very little when ds1 was trained. And it was just a month after ds2 was born so I remember very little
