Baby sleep issues

Hi all

My little one is 18 weeks old and has always been a pretty good sleeper. From about 10 weeks he was having a last bottle feed at around 10pm and sleeping through until around 6, also having a few naps between 30-60mins a day. The past 2 weeks he has been waking in the night again for feeds and not going back to sleep, he doesn’t cry just has a bit of a moan but is wide awake. I can be up trying to get him back to sleep for about 2 hours sometimes and it is absolutely exhausting. He is having less naps during the day as well and for shorter periods of time I am just wondering does anybody know why this could be happening? I understand all babies are different but we have stuck to the same routine since he was 10 weeks old nothing has changed but his sleep has been very disturbed.. he has 6 or 7oz every 2/3 hours so shouldn’t really be waking at night for a feed as surely he can’t be hungry! Any advice would be appreciated or just some ideas on what has caused this change? I’m sure he must be so tired as he’s barely sleeping, I thought if he isn’t napping much in the day he must have a good sleep at night but nope!!

Thank you :)

4 month regression.

(And it’s perfectly normal for an 18 week old to still wake for feeds in the night!)

Sounds normal and part of the 4 month sleep regression. Keep your bedtime routine the same and just ride out the nighttime doing what you need to do. They regularly change sleep patterns at various points. My 2 year old started waking up again in the nights for about 2 weeks last month and then went back to sleeping though 🤷🏼‍♀️
