Toddler not eating

Hello, I'm after a little advice please!

My 18 month old has been off food for the last couple of weeks and I'm a little concerned. She has been a decent eater so I'm not sure what has changed. She will graze on snacks but won't entertain a proper meal...even with 'treat' food!

She still loves milk and has a morning and night bottle. Im going to try skipping the morning bottle but as she's so slight anyway, i don't want her to lose weight

Any advice would be great! Thanks

DD is now 2 and around the 12-18 month she went from being a good eater who tried most things to preferring to snack over actual meals.

She also still likes her milk and has 2-3 bottles per day and totally refuses to drop them, so I am just letting her decide when she is ready.

I wish she would eat actual meals though, she mostly just wants snacks like yogurts, fruit, breadsticks. Only "meal" she will actually eat is beans on toast?! I am sure they all go through this phase and will return to normal eating eventually!

Is she teething? My DS has been on and off his food for weeks now and is definitely cutting his back molars. Last week all meals fine, this week nothing. I've just been giving milk and snacks as I would do usually.

We went through this phase too. I just offered loads of snacks. It got better after about 6M and 3.5yr old now a pretty good eater. I have largely stopped offering snacks though as he just doesn’t have a huge appetite. Since I did that he has eaten more at meals, so I wonder if I should have done it that way round sooner. I do know they won’t starve themselves so try to just keep offering and let them set the pace

Thank you everyone! Think we might have to cut the milk and snacks.

She's always been small so I've been reluctant to drop food but like you say, she won't starve herself! Not sure it's teething, she has a couple left to come through but usually tells us when her teeth are hurting.

My dd went through the same of being off food and she eventually went back to normal but is more fussy with what she eats. I think it's normal and these phases will come and go throughout toddlerhood. Every child I know has gone through a phase of not eating much.
Try not to worry but if you're concerned or they're losing weight, contact your gp. :)

Hopefully just a phase, thanks for all your help!
