Hello lovely Mums of Mumsnet

I’m currently preparing for the arrival of no.2. We have a (very busy) 20 month old at home already so I’m looking for any advice on managing newborn + active toddler

In all probability I will be having a C section and will have DH at home for 4 weeks afterward, so he’ll take care of DC1 and I aim to focus on new baby and recovering. But feeling anxious about how I will manage when he goes back to work

DC1 is sleeping ok ish...will settle ok in the evening but will wake at 3am every night without fail. Not hungry or anything, just struggles to get back asleep. Going to attempt crying it out for this part of his sleep and get him back self settling - any other tips would be very welcome

Aside from DC1 and sleep - can you please share ANY useful tips you have that helped keep things ticking over and helped you keep your sanity (MH a big concern for my as I was very fragile after DC1 was born)

Aiming to be as organized as possible - batch cook DC1’s meals, have spares of everything I need downstairs; spare changing table and cot for DC1 etc. I'm getting a cleaner in for a few weeks and tesco delivery for food shopping - am I missing any other useful tips?!

Any useful tips or advice would be appreciated!

TIA Thanks
