Confused by the age recommendations on baby food. Please note I do home cook most of his meals but easy to throw a jar in a bag when on the move without worrying about refrigeration

He's 7 months, weaned since 4 months, can demolish a banana in chunks, bites crisps and rusks, eats toast in chunks easily. Loves pasta and soft veggies
And yet all the lumpy food states from 10 months or even a year? Am I being naive to think hell be fine with these meals? Is there something I'm missing? Surely if he's eating my pasta and veg, he can have the shop ones?
