That's not considered early in our house. Dd1 wakes up at 7-7:30 most days while dd2 has me up most of the night with feeds

xxxCheshireMumxxX · 01/09/2019 09:04

@Mrsmummy90 I agree, I'm up at 6.30 for work Monday - Friday so 8.30/9 is a two hour lie in for me! Grin

Between 8.30 and 9. We seem to have passed the years of the 6am wake ups.

That’s a huge lie in for us, DD was up at 7am and I felt lucky

parrotonmyshoulder · 01/09/2019 09:26

I was delighted with 7 today! How old is your child? We’re up at 6am in the week so can’t expect kids to be very different at weekends.

SnugglySnerd · 01/09/2019 09:27

Today was 6.30 and that was a really good morning. It's often an hour earlier than that!

confusedandemployed · 01/09/2019 09:28

These days I'm always awake way before DD. I have two cups of coffee then end up waking her at 8.15ish because I'm bored Blush

SoyDora · 01/09/2019 09:31

Baby was up at 6.40am (late for him) and 5 and 4 year olds at 7.15ish. Baby was up three times in the night, 4 year old twice (too excited to start school tomorrow to sleep!)
Unless I’d gone to bed at 2am I wouldn’t be able to sleep until 9am anyway!

xxxCheshireMumxxX · 01/09/2019 09:32

@confusedandemployed nooowayyy! I can't ever imagine waking DD up haha Shock DD is 9, she gets up & let's the dog in the backgarden, super bonus!

Maybe my DP shouldn't stay up till 2am on the computer & he would be happy with a 9am wake up!

I'm happy if we make it to 6 🤣

Bubsworth · 01/09/2019 11:59

Between 4-6am every day, not including all the times he wakes up and will go back to sleep with either milk or soothing.

RollingRedHills · 01/09/2019 12:01

Half five this morning which is about average it's a huge treat and we both celebrate if we get to 6am. And I was up three times in the night with her too.

NemosPoorlyFinn · 01/09/2019 12:02

My soon to be 3 year old woke me at 6:30am
This is the usual no matter what day of the week it is 😴

Elisheva · 01/09/2019 12:02

Dd (5) and ds (9) are up at 6:30am every day, without fail. Ds (12) now lies in so I’m optimistic for the future!

Indecisivelurcher · 01/09/2019 12:14

6!!! I can't imagine a time my kids don't wake me up at 6.

happytoday73 · 01/09/2019 16:48

Always before 7... Normally just before or after 6.
We are just thankful we don't see 4 and 5am anymore.... Which we did every day until eldest was nearly 5... He is just a natural early riser who doesn't need much sleep...
I aged 10 years in that period 😭

thunderthighsohwoe · 02/09/2019 07:12

6.30 would be a luxurious lie in in our house! She is only 9 months though....

I’m told that I woke up at 5am until I started school, so I don’t hold out much hope for the future.

saveallyourkisses · 02/09/2019 07:36

6am-ish is a normal start in our house. My eldest DS (8) always wakes around this time. My DD (3) will sometimes sleep a little later but is usually woken by her brother stomping about like an elephant walking out of his room to go and watch TV downstairs. As I'm still getting up to feed youngest DS (3mnths) in the night I think I'd do a happy dance if everyone in my household slept until 9am.

soundsystem · 02/09/2019 07:42

How old is your DS? I would consider 8.30/9 a lie-in!

Ours are normally up by 7.30 which is a new phenomenon- was previously 6.30am! Before 7am they get sent back to bed, but anything after that is fair game...

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 03/09/2019 18:25

I’ll send my two to your DP tomorrow then. 6.30am is a lie in here!
