Has anyone else experience this as it’s worrying me sick.

I’ve been to see my doctor as My 18 month old sons lymph nodes on one side of his neck and both side of the groin has come up (since the 13th August) I thought it was a sore throat and teething that caused it. The doctor sent me for blood test and so far they have come back normal. His normal in his self, eating, drinking, no fever(except for with teething) dirty nappy’s etc. Something is not sitting right with me though. I’ve just felt the one in his neck which is bigger than normal and it feels like it’s either spilt or one has come up next to it. I don’t no what to do. The only time I have given him medication is for teething. I don’t no if I am being paronoid or if his not well. What would you suggest I do? I have been reading google and its worrying me sick. I have another doctors appointment booked for Monday.

DS1 had virus after virus at that age and enlarged lymph nodes for months. GP sent him for a blood test to rule out anything serious. He was fine, the lymph node in his neck stayed enlarged until he was about 6 I think though.

Definitely don’t panic, it’s a normal response to the body fighting infection, although I know these things are a worry.

Also, we were told that if it was a blood cancer there would have been an abnormal white blood cell count (best I can remember) so if the blood test was normal I’d be reassured by that.
