Hair Washing Drama's

I'm really struggling to get my daughter who is 4yrs old to wash her hair. She cries, screams, panicking, shakes. We have it all and tried loads of things.

Any tips/advice xx

Bless her. I am afraid I have no experience but just thinking what I would do. Is it the thought of water going on her face she doesn't like? For example can you pour water on her face in the bath, swimming can she go underwater? What about if you washed your hair with her watching to show her it isn't scary?

She will get her hair and face wet during swimming but I could try putting her favourite show on and see if that works

That could work. Or what if you let her "do it herself". As in let her help by pouring the water and you shampoo. Or vice versa. Give her a bit of control to see if that helps??

Goggles?

Can you have a shower with her? Dd hates having her hair washed, but will happily come in the shower with me and I can wash her hair in there.

My son hated having his hair washed, it's not an unusual scenario. They outgrow it.

I've said she can come in with me or do it herself but the thought of it sends her into a panic. Hopefully as you said she will grow out of it 🤞🤞
