What age foe potty training?

What age do you start pooty training? And how? Ds is 13 and a half months old, but not walking yet..

DD was ready at 18 months and didn't have a single accident. She was completely dry at 21 months. In all her 2nd birthday party photos you can clearly see her knickers. She wasn't reliably dry at night however until about 3/ 3.5 years-sometime just before full time FS1.
