Stinky nippas

My nappi nippas have suddenly got a very strong wee smell that i can't seem to shift. I think its either a case of having built up over time (no i don't rinse them after every use) or possibly because dd is teething and her wee (and therefore nappies) is very smelly at the moment.
I've tried soaking them in both water and baby bath and a vinegar solution but they still smell. Anyone have any ideas? (or is this just too "picky" to warrant discussion? )

oohh, very picky but you could try soaking in a bicarb soda solution

FlameBatfink · 07/08/2007 12:16

Dishwasher em? Or is that icky?

Cappuccino · 07/08/2007 12:18

are you putting them to your nose and smelling them?

why does it matter if your nippas smell of wee?

i agree dishwasher em on hot! other than that you could try not putting your nose up to them a sniffing them !

claireybee · 07/08/2007 13:01

No dishwasher
Um, I'm not exactly putting them up to my nose and smelling them, but I do often hold them in my mouth while putting the nappy on dd to leave both hands free for wrestling with dd and nappy and can then smell them. Now that is surely more ick than putting them in dishwasher

Why not buy new nappi nippas, there're not that expensive, or better still, use nappy pins?
