Hey guys ,
Second post this week but so many helpful mums out there, sometimes it's just nice knowing that there is people out there going through the same thing, and we are all willing to help out with advice.

Anyways our little boy has a flat head at 4 months , he does plenty of tummy time and uses jolly jumper to.

I have heard mixed reviews from friends who have baby's some believe this is to late and we should seek medical help, some believe there kids had very bad flat head at this time and it sorts itself out , I want to see what you guys think. Should we be looking into medical help or is this normal?

Thanks in advance,

It's pretty common for babies to have some degree of flat head. Especially since we are all told to put babies on their back to sleep, sometimes is doesn't matter how much tummy time is done as they spend a lot of time on their back.
Most cases rectify themselves once babies start sitting/rolling/crawling.
If you are worried about it though put your mind at rest and ask GP/Health visitor. They won't mind, it's about what's best for baby AND what's best for you

I mentioned to the health visitor DS had a flat head at, she agreed and measured it. His head was growing on the same percentile line as it was at birth. She wasn't concerned and said it should get better on it's own through time. It does look better now, DS is awake a lot more and doesn't spend as much time lying on his back so expect it to keep improving. Can you speak to your health visitor so she can reassure you?
