Newborn at the beach?

DC2 is 6 weeks old. What with the lovely weather expected this weekend, I’m thinking about a trip to the beach (south coast) with DD (age 2) and the baby. And husband obviously, can’t manage both on my own!! I have an umbrella, uv tent, all the usual beach equipment for toddlers etc, just thinking if it’s a sensible idea with the baby? Am mixed feeding, but can feed him inside the tent to keep him out of the sun and take extra formula in case it’s very hot.

I think it’s probably fine to go, but maybe people might be a bit judgey?! Am I just overthinking it?! Anything anyone would advise taking with us? TIA

Go for it!
Keep baby out of the sun and have plenty of milk for them.
In other countries is much hotter and babies are routinely at the beach.
Ignore the judgy people you can never please everyone.
It sounds like you've this well thought out so go and enjoy your weekend with your family Smile

Took my seven week old to the beach today without a second thought. No one batted an eyelid. Don’t forget plenty of water for you if you’re mixed feeding! Have fun.
