Croup

Hi, I’m pretty sure my 4 year old has croup. She sounds pretty terrible, lost her voice yesterday, hurts to swallow, temperature, cough which’s sounds like a barking dog (although the cough is not constant). Do I need to get her seen by a GP or is it a just sit it out and wait thing? Also any film recommendations would be gratefully received. Thank you.

I always end up with a dose of steroids for mine when they have croup.

Do you think she's coping with it on paracetamol and cuddles?

Sing is good. My kids love a musical and will happily watch the old Annie, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, etc.

I'd see a GP unless she's had it before and you're sure it won't be a biggie.

Thank you.l for your replies. I took her to the GP after speaking to the pharmacist and she does have croup and has taken a dose of steroids so hopefully there will be some improvement soon.
