And it is not that unusual tbh. Have two ds'. 14 and nearly 12. 14 yr old has asd, 11 year old has genetic disorder and dyspraxia. Today we went to a MY property. Ds2 was happy to go, as was ds1. We left in sunshine but when we arrived it was very wet. We had coats and things, so tried to make the brst.
Ds2 was not happy. Wanted to go home, so rude , pushing and hitting me. Telling us to shut up and listen to him. Experience tells us it is best to ignore when he is like this and deal with later as he just gets ruder if dealt with whilst cross. So, this we did. 14 year old was fine. Howevet, it took about 2 he's for ds2 to say sorry and be kinder. End of trip was better and the boys played well . Of course, all other children we saw were perfectly behaved at all times !!
Then, when we got home ds,1 realised he had lost his phone so DH had to drive back.
Now, when we have put in the consequence for earlier behaviour ( early bed, no tv with us ) ds2 has screamed and stamped again. Have just come down from calming him down and have now read him a story so he at least has had a nice bedtime, but it is all so tiring. . I
No real reason for posting. Just tired. Hope others have had a better day
