18m old eating

DS is 18m old and has always been a really good eater. The last couple of weeks he's been fine at breakfast, a bit fussy at lunch, and barely eating any dinner. I've never really bothered with snacks as he didn't seem to want them. I'm not giving him more food, so I don't think he's getting full early on. Sometimes he'll put food in his mouth then scrape it off his tongue and/or throw it on the floor. I've not tried him with anything new recently as he's pretty much always had what we've had, and we have a reasonably varied diet. Atm I'm just kind of leaving him to it, give him a chance but if he's not eating it at all I'll take it away after about 30 mins. Anybody else had this? Is there anything I need to be doing?

I’m watching this thread with interest as I’m having exactly the same issue... mine doesn’t even want to get in the high chair anymore and is nearly eating anything. He eats the most when I hand him food in the car seat, a sandwich for example, as there is nothing to distract / get his attention away from eating!
