Cold turkey dummy at 2

Has anyone else cold turkey a dummy at two. Before anyone says he should of been well off them before now he has an operation last year and I didn't have the heart to stop them. Any advice would be much appreciated

We stopped my DS just under age 2. We actually cut a little bit off the tip and told him it was broken (previous cold turkey at nap time and he’d screamed for an hour and refused to nap). We cut it by a bit more every day.

He was pretty unsettled the first night and took a while to go to sleep and then better the next night and by about 3 nights in he was over it.

We also went cold turkey just before DDs 2nd birthday, told her they're going in the bin because they're for babies. Surprisingly easy, although it made it slightly more difficult to put her to bed at first but just meant an extra story x
