First bath-any tips?

We are planning on giving our newborn her first bath tonight- any hints and tips to get it to go smoothly?

Warm room, make sure they are not hungry or tired and keep it brief. Cosy towel waiting. Enjoy!

don't be upset if they scream and its not the magical moment you imagined it would be my dc hated baths to begin with.

Use one hand to hold her so she is lying on your arm, the other to pour a blob of baby body wash over her tummy and head. Use that hand to wash her.
