Nap times for a 4 month old

I'd really welcome suggested nap times/schedules for a 4 months old. Sleeping was great for the first 2 months...has been dismal since. Trying a bedtime routine but nothing's really helping ☹️. Struggling to get naps in the day - sometimes baby will sleep for a good few hours, other days maybe 30 mins all day. No rhyme or reason

There's no such thing as a "schedule" for a 4 month old. They sleep when they need to sleep and you need to work your way around it.

4 month sleep regression? I used to watch mine and put him down for a nap as soon as he looked tired*. He liked an early nap about 90 minutes after getting up and then every couple of hours after that. I never let him sleep past 4pm ready for a 7pm bedtime.

*Either had to lie down with him or end up holding him while he fought sleeping till I gave up. It was rarely successful.
