Victim of paternity fraud

I am looking for advice for my brother. He and his girlfriend have been raising their son together since he was born last year, however they have recently split up. He was encouraged by my dad to have a DNA test ‘just to prove my dad wrong’ as he’d had doubts about his gf (another post altogether!) and lo and behold my brother is not the biological father to the boy he’s raised and loved for almost a year.
My question is, does he now have any legal rights to his ‘son’? He is on the birth certificate. Would he stand any chance of being able to see him still? His ex is furious with him for having the DNA done (and uncovering her lie!) and is saying he can’t see the baby anymore. My heart is breaking seeing how devastated he is. He still loves the baby the same as he did before!

Weren’t you on here before with the exact same story except the boy was 2? You were given a lot of good advice then

I think you need to see a solicitor asap as this is a complicated issue I'm so sorry for your brother

I think he needs to find and consult a lawyer.

Unfortunately with the child being so young and no biological link, I'm not sure the courts would prioritise contact - however, IANAL and he needs someone who is.

No I’ve never posted this before as it only happened last week.

@NeedingAdvice29 sorry, posted previous comment without tagging. Must have been someone in a similar situation, but not me.
