Just being nosy, you can change your name. Just wondered how many Mumsnet children are unexpected/planned, how common it is. What's your score for surprise babies? Mine's 1/2.

Both unplanned but a very happy mummy.

boo64 · 03/08/2007 21:04

Lucky all of you in a way - I cannot ever have an unplanned one - trips to the IVF clinic for me - expensive and much less fun!

sparklesandwine · 03/08/2007 21:04

erm i had always wanted 4 so in that way i gues they were planned but as and when they came wasn't

.....especially DS1 as DP and i had only been together 3 weeks!!

SlightlyMadSpider · 03/08/2007 21:06

DTD2 was unplanned. But given she is a twin thats not surprising really as not many people seriously plan (and succeed to plan) twins

Ladymuck · 03/08/2007 21:09

Both planned.

oooggs · 03/08/2007 21:12

slightlymadspider - as I was reading the thread I thought that

ds1 - planned
dt1 - planned
dt2 - an added extra ( we were very lucky)

angie0201 · 03/08/2007 21:22

Both planned although just due to epilesy them having to be planned

bozza · 03/08/2007 21:24

0 unplanned
2 planned (although for DD the time between planning and conception was 2 days)

Meeely2 · 03/08/2007 21:27

both unplanned - twins so only ONE unplanned pregnancy.

UCM · 03/08/2007 21:28

lou33 · 03/08/2007 21:29

Ds was unplanned - but only because we were told we didn't have a snowflake's chance in hell of conceiving naturally (and after 14 years we started to believe them). So was a shock, but the nicest kind.

lovecamping · 03/08/2007 22:39

none of my 3 were planned

bubblepop · 03/08/2007 22:47

1 of the 4 was unplanned-no regrets

berolina · 03/08/2007 22:50

ds1 - planned
imminent ds2 - not exactly unplanned, but 'risked' rather than planned.

nooka · 03/08/2007 23:00

ds was planned, but still a bit of a surprise (we got preganant about a week after we decided a baby might be nice). dd was definately unplanned (ds was only 8 months old). We did want another baby though, just not so quick.
