Just being nosy, you can change your name. Just wondered how many Mumsnet children are unexpected/planned, how common it is. What's your score for surprise babies? Mine's 1/2.

but we got perfect timing -

DS1-DS2 - 3yrs 3months
DS2-DS3 - 3yrs 6 months

doubt we could have got them that evenly spaced if we'd tried

quiveutmabonnebaguette · 03/08/2007 09:44

and dh thinks I'm pregnant with our third (unplanned) !

Two out of three - dd1 and ds. But when I had dd1 I did say I'd like three by the time I was 35, which I managed by a week! That's one baby every two yrs.

hoxtonchick · 03/08/2007 09:51

both of ours were very much planned

MrsJohnCusack · 03/08/2007 10:03

our first was kind of unplanned - but only in that I'd just been told I'd have trouble conceiving after having an ovary removed due to a tumour, knackered tubes, and extensive adheasions...

so finding out I was pregnant was lovely but something of a shock!

ricepuddingpaddington · 03/08/2007 10:10

1/2.
we would have had a second, just not then.

OrmIrian · 03/08/2007 10:11
  1. Third child DS#2.
allgonebellyup · 03/08/2007 10:24

both unplanned

motherinferior · 03/08/2007 10:24

First one, well, 'constructive carelessness' as DP put it.

Lolly68 · 03/08/2007 10:32

both unplanned for me too.

zaphod · 03/08/2007 10:35

Ds2, who we would have had later, and ds4 who we wouldn't. But I'm SO glad we did, I never would have got dh to agree to another.

TheArmadillo · 03/08/2007 10:36

1/1

AlbusPercivalWulfricBrianSun · 03/08/2007 10:41

My DS was totally planned but I was a mistake - born 9 months to the day mum and dad got married.

Both planned.

pagwatch · 03/08/2007 10:48

all three very planned

Hassled · 03/08/2007 10:55

2/4 - didn't really feel I had a leg to stand on when giving DD a lecture about safe sex recently .

AlistairSim · 03/08/2007 11:05

Both.

Still not convinced that dp didn't ravish me very quietly and gently whilst I was asleep.

He, of course, is thinks he has super-sperm.

gingeme · 03/08/2007 11:12

Bouquetsofdynomite · 03/08/2007 18:01

Fascinating isn't it? Shouldn't we all know better?

OP posts:
meandmy · 03/08/2007 18:04

my dd was planned!
im one of 5 and only my sister was planned!

RFCMummy · 03/08/2007 20:25

DD1 was unplanned, DD2 was planned although didn't expect to fall immediately after coming off pill when DD1 was only 8 months! So glad they are so close in age though and I would like to have another one or two planned or otherwise!

MegaLegs · 03/08/2007 20:30

Cammelia · 03/08/2007 20:31
